Privacy, consent and removal

Vibe Aid is a public showcase of tools people have built for their communities. Here's what we keep, why, and how to have it removed.

What we keep

If you sign in with LinkedIn, LinkedIn shares your name, email address and profile photo with us; we use the name to fill in your profile and keep a note that you signed in with LinkedIn (shown as "signed in with LinkedIn" next to your profile link). We never post to LinkedIn or read your connections. If you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub username and public profile name, and nothing else.

Why

To run the showcase: so you can edit your projects, so others can credit and learn from them, and so moderators can keep the site safe. We don't use your data for advertising, sell it, or use it to train AI models.

Where it's stored

Data is held by Supabase on servers in the EU/UK region. Screenshots are stored as public images, because they're shown on the site. The website itself is hosted on GitHub Pages.

Consent and other people

Moderation

Every project is checked by a moderator before it appears publicly, and again after it's edited. We may hide a project that puts someone at risk, contains personal data, or doesn't fit the purpose of the site — we'll leave a note explaining why.

The safety checklist on each project is the builder's own declaration. A "Reviewed" badge means a moderator has looked at the project, not that it has been audited. Always check a tool with your own safeguarding or data-protection lead before using it with people.

Removing things

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
